Police: Man beat relative to death Sunday night

A 47-year-old man was in custody after he allegedly killed a family member Sunday night during a domestic altercation at a home in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, Chicago Police said.
Terika Moore, of the 7800 block of South Morgan Street, was dead when police arrived at her home shortly after 7 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Moore apparently died from blunt-force trauma wounds after being struck multiple times in the head, the medical examiner’s office said, but an autopsy scheduled for Monday will determine her precise cause of death.
Charges were pending the against the family member as of early Monday.
Area South detectives were investigating.
