An armed man who has robbed hair salons in Chicago and several suburbs struck again Thursday afternoon, this time robbing a Supercuts in north suburban Skokie, police said.
Skokie Police responded to a 911 call about 12:25 p.m. Thursday at the Supercuts at 3539 Dempster St., a statement from police said. A man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt entered the salon, pulled a black handgun, demanded money and then ran off. No one was injured.
An employee of the salon recognized the suspect as the man pictured in a police alert sent to area hair salons after salons were robbed in Chicago, Bensenville, Lombard, Skokie, Niles, Glen Ellyn and Morton Grove, according to police.
