A well-dressed man — with the exception of his trademark white baseball cap — robbed a Loop bank branch Wednesday. Authorities think this was the fourth bank robbery by the same man.
The robber has worn a suit and tie in at least two of the bank heists, and he has worn a white baseball or other style cap.
On Wednesday, he robbed the First American Bank branch at 22 W. Monroe, according to the FBI. He didn’t show a weapon.
The other bank branches he is suspected of robbing are: Burling Bank at 141 W. Jackson on Dec. 5; Citibank at 539 N. Michigan Ave. on Dec. 17, and — Citibank at 111 W. Jackson on Dec. 19.
Anyone with information can call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
There have been at least 215 bank robberies in the Chicago area this year, according to the FBI. There were 115 last year.
