A south suburban man is wanted in connection with the Sunday shooting death of a Chicago man in Wisconsin, police said.
Officers responded at 11:22 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Merrill Street in Beloit, Wis., and found a man shot multiple times in a nearby yard, according to Beloit police.
Ricky Sims Jr., 19, of Chicago, was taken to Beloit Hospital, where he died during surgery, a release from police said.
The suspected shooter, Tevon I. Marley, 28, of Harvey, and Sims were in two separate vehicles before the shooting and had no connection to the location where the shooting occurred, Beloit police said.
Marley is wanted for first-degree intentional homicide and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police. He is also a suspect in an attempted murder April 5 in the 500 block of West Grand Avenue in Beloit.
