A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
The 31-year-old man was standing outside in the 1500 block of South Keeler Avenue when a gray car pulled up about 10:15 p.m., said police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
Someone inside the car told the man not to move, Mirabelli said, and two people then got out of the car and opened fire.
The man was shot in the inner right thigh and the lower calf, Mirabelli said.
The man was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, said police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
Police said the wounded man was allegedly a gang-member.
Police have made no arrests as Area Central detectives investigate.
