Woman shot in face two weeks ago dies from her injuries

A woman who was shot multiple times in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood earlier this month died from her wounds Friday.
Britney Colvin, 23, was shot in the face and shoulder in the 2700 block of West 62nd Street at 11:08 p.m. on Oct. 6, police said at the time.
Colvin, of the 8500 block of South Parnell Avenue, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where she died from her wounds, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
