DuPage County will become the first in the Chicago area to allow cameras in its courtrooms — a policy that could start as early as next month.
The Illinois Supreme Court announced Monday the collar county will begin allowing cameras and other recording devices as part of a pilot program to make judicial proceedings more publicly accessible.
The Supreme Court announced the program in April.
