Three dead, 10 wounded — including 3 women — in weekend shootings

Three men were dead and at least 10 people were wounded in separate shootings from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon.

At 7 p.m. Saturday, a 29-year-old man was shot in the face and body in the Gresham neighborhood, police said.

Officers found the man dead inside a car parked in the 900 block of West 87th Street, police said. Two guns were found, though police declined to say where investigators discovered the weapons.

The man remained unidentified Saturday night, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

At 4:20 p.m., a man believed to be in his 30s was fatally shot in the 1700 block of East 91st Street, police said.

Paramedics took the man to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 5:14 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. The man remained unidentified as of Saturday night.

Police were questioning two suspects, police said, though charges had not been filed as of Saturday night.

At 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, police discovered 18-year-old Thaddeus Tucker dead on the sidewalk with several gunshot wounds to the head, authorities said.

Detectives were trying to piece together what lead up to the shooting, police said. Tucker lived in south suburban Lansing, authorities said.

Among the 10 people shot were three women, including a 29-year-old woman was shot at 3 p.m. Saturday in the 8500 block of South Muskegon, police said. She suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body, police said, and paramedics took her in “stable” condition to Advocate Trinity Hospital.

A 31-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder during a robbery Friday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, police said. She was walking in the 4300 block of West 18th Street when the shooting happened at 8:38 p.m., police said.

Paramedics took her in guarded condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

At 5:55 p.m. Friday, a 52-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm and a graze wound to the chest in the 3100 block of West 87th Street, police said.

She was listed in “stable” condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
