Man shot in Humboldt Park area

A man was wounded in a shooting in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
The shooting happened about 2:45 p.m. in 1500 block of North Kedvale Avenue, according to police. The approximately 20-year-old victim suffered two gunshot wounds.
Paramedics took him from the scene at 4125 W. North Ave. -- which is at North Kedvale Avenue -- to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to Fire Media Affairs spokeswoman Meg Ahlheim. His condition was not immediately known.
Area North detectives are investigating.
