Four hurt in Austin shooting

Four people were hurt in a shooting in the West Side Austin neighborhood Monday night.
The shooting in the 100 block of North LaPorte Avenue happened about 6 p.m. and left four males wounded, police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety said.
Paramedics took two people to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, one in serious condition and one in good condition, Fire Media Affairs spokeswoman Meg Ahlheim said.
Two other people, both in good condition, went to Mount Sinai Hospital, Ahlheim said.
Further details on the shooting were not yet known Monday night as Area North detectives investigate.
