One man dead, another wounded in Humboldt Park shooting

Two men were shot--one fatally--early Thursday in the Northwest Side Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The two men were shot in the 2500 block of West Thomas Street about 1:15 a.m., police News Affairs Amina Greer said, citing preliminary information.
Miguel Cruz, 28, of the 2500 block of North Leclaire Avenue, was shot in the chest and taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where he died at 2 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The other man, who was in his 20s, was shot in the shoulder and listed in good condition at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, police said.
No one is in custody.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
