Woman stabbed, killed in Edgewater

A man was arrested following the domestic-related fatal stabbing of a woman in the North Side Edgewater neighborhood early Wednesday, police said.
Officers found the 53-year-old woman stabbed in the chest about 1:50 a.m. in the 6100 block of North Sheridan Road, according to police News Affairs.
Elle Mills, 53, of the 6100 block of North Sheridan Road was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office as the deceased, but pronouncement information was not immediately available Wednesday morning.
The stabbing appears to be domestic-related, police said.
A man was in custody Wednesday morning in connection with the stabbing.
Area North detectives are investigating.
