Former Bolingbrook police sargeant Drew Peterson has been charged with the 2004 murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. He is set to stand trial in Will County this month. Drew Peterson was arrested in May 2009.
Savio was found dead in the bath tub of her Bolingbrook home. Her death was originally ruled accidental. Following the disappearance in October 2007 of Peterson’s fourth wife,. Stacy, Savio’s body was exhumed in November 2007 - and a new examination concluded her death was a homicide.
