Nearly $230,000 worth of hair extensions was discovered stolen Saturday morning from a Bronzeville beauty supply store, police said.
The owner the 35th Street Beauty Supply discovered the burglary about 8 a.m., police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
Sometime after 9 p.m. Friday, the thieves broke through the door of a neighboring empty storefront, Mirabelli said. They then broke through the east wall of the storefront into the beauty supply store, in the 200 block of East 35th Street.
And before the left, the thieves made off with $229,000 worth of hair extensions, Mirabelli said.
The store owner refused to comment Saturday afternoon.
