2 women wounded in South Side shooting

One woman was shot and another suffered a graze wound during a domestic dispute in the South Side South Shore neighborhood early Monday.
A woman, 32, was shot in the leg near the intersection of East 78th Street and South Saginaw Avenue about 3:35 a.m., police said. The woman’s 31-year-old sister was grazed by a bullet in the incident, but she declined medical attention.
Officers responding to the scene recognized a car believed to be involved in the shooting and pursued it, arresting a 40-year-old man near the intersection of East 95th Street and Woodlawn Avenue, Gaines said.
Officers shot at the man during the pursuit, but did not hit him, police said.
The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was listed in good condition, Gaines said.
