A Skokie man has been charged with shooting into a car that was traveling on a busy street in the north suburb earlier this week.
None of the three people Alexander Soballe targeted were injured in the Thursday evening incident in the 4800 block of Oakton Street, police said.
Soballe, 20, ran away after allegedly firing several shots from a semi-automatic pistol around 5 p.m..
But officers responding to the scene were able to quickly identify Soballe based on information from witnesses and a short time later, he was arrested at his apartment in the 4900 block of Louise Avenue, police said.
Soballe was charged with four counts of felony aggravated discharge of a firearm.
He was also charged with two counts of misdemeanor aggravated assault, stemming from a May 30 incident in which he allegedly threatened two victims with a baseball bat following a traffic dispute.
Thursday’s shooting, just north of the Oakton Yellow Line/“Skokie Swift” station, led to the temporary suspension of train service.
