18-year-old woman shot in head on NW Side

An 18-year-old woman was shot in the head early Wednesday in the Northwest Side Cragin neighborhood.
The shooting took place in the 5200 block of West School Street about 2:10 a.m., according to a statement issued by police News Affairs.
The woman was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, the statement said.
Police have made no arrests in connection to the shooting, which Area North detectives are investigating.
