2 men shot on West Side

Two men were shot Tuesday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The men were standing in a crowd gathered in the 5100 block of West North Avenue when shots were fired from two unknown offenders about 9:20 p.m., said police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.
A 48-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach, Gaines said, and a 21-year-old man was shot in the shoulder. Both were taken in “stable” condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Gaines said.
Police have made no arrests in the shooting, which Area North detectives are investigating.
