Hit-and-run driver leaves girl, 4, in critical

Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident Saturday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood that left a 4-year-old girl in critical condition.

At 4:40 p.m., police were notified that a vehicle struck the girl as it traveled northbound in the 7100 block of South Normal.

Paramedics took the girl in critical condition to the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, said police Chicago Police spokeswoman Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti.

Further details were not immediately available late Saturday.
