Two men died after being shot early Monday in the Southwest Side Pilsen neighborhood.
The two men, ages 26 and 27, were sitting on the front steps of a house in the 2200 block of South Leavitt at 12:40 a.m., when two men approached on foot and shot them, Chicago Police spokesman Veejay Zala said.
The two men were outside eating tacos when two other men approached and started talking to them about buying marijuana, police said. The men were then shot.
One man, 26, was shot in the head and died on the stairs. The other man, 27, was shot in the abdomen. He ran inside into the kitchen where he collapsed, according to police. He was later pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.
The shooting is believed to be gang-related, police said.
