A man was critically injured early Wednesday in an apparent drive-by outside a South Side gas station, police said.
The 21-year-old man was outside a gas station in the 1200 block of W. 59th Street about 12:23 a.m. when he got into an argument with another male, police said. The male suspect later returned in a white SUV and fired shots from the passenger side, striking the man several times in his head and body.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where was listed in critical condition early Wednesday after initial reports that he had died, police said.
No one is in custody and Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
