Man in custody after barricade situation on Northwest Side

A man is in police custody following a domestic incident that turned into a barricade situation on the Northwest Side Saturday afternoon.

The incident on the 3400 block of West Sunnyside Ave. stemmed from a domestic disturbance, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

It turned into a barricade situation but by 3 p.m. the situation was resolved and the man was in custody. No one was injured, Zala said.

Fire Dept. personnel responded at 2:17 p.m. and paramedics looked at the man but he was not taken to a hospital, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Rich Rosado said.
