Maybe they just couldn’t wait for opening day, but three women snuck into Wrigley Field through a construction area early Friday and sat on the historic field before a security guard ended their visit.
Chicago Police say Allison Rexin, 27; Rachael Michelozzi, 28; and Michelle Burleson, 31, entered the stadium at 1060 W. Addison St. about 12:15 a.m. through a construction fence, then sat on the field.
A security guard immediately spotted the trio and detained them. Police also responded and took the women to the nearby Town Hall District police station, where they were charged each with one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to property, police said.
Police did not say whether the women were intoxicated, or why they entered the stadium.
Rexin and Michelozzo are from the 700 block of West Brompton in Chicago, while Burleson lives in Redford Township in Michigan, police said.
