Two teen girls hurt in Bronzeville shooting

Two teen girls were hurt Tuesday night in a shooting in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.
The girls, ages 14 and 16, were walking with a group of people about 6:40 p.m. in the 500 block of East 35th Street when they heard gunfire and realized they had been shot, police said.
The 14-year-old girl was shot in the ankle while the older girl suffered a graze wound to the calf, police said. Both were taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center and have since been treated and released.
No one is in custody for the attack as of early Wednesday.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
