Woodstock high school teacher charged with sex assault of student, 14

Authorities charged a 38-year-old teacher at Woodstock North High School teacher with criminal sexual assault against a student who was 14 years old at the time.
James B. Guttridge is alleged to have had inappropriate sexual contact with the student during the 2008–09 school year, police said.
Guttridge was taken into custody on Friday at his Rockford home in the 8000 block of Slater Road, police said
He was charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one count of criminal sexual assault.
Guttridge is currently being held at the McHenry County Jail on $80,000 bond, police said.
