Suspect in River North bank robbery wanted in 6 other bank robberies

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a River North neighborhood bank Monday morning and is suspected of committing six other bank robberies.
Monday’s robbery happened at the North Community Bank at 448 N. Wells St. about 10 a.m., according to police.
The man entered the bank, gave the teller a note and robbed the bank before fleeing in a maroon Chevy Blazer, unconfirmed police dispatch reports indicated.
He is described as a man in his 20s or 30s, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6, with black hair and brown eyes, according to the FBI. He is suspected of committing six other bank robberies in Chicago since Dec. 20, including two on Jan. 6.
A reward is be offered for information leading to the man’s conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
