Readers respond to Obama's Cubs joke

Readers respond to White Sox fan Barack Obama's jokes about Cubs fans. "You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer, beautiful people up there," he said. "People aren't watching the game. It's not serious. White Sox, that's baseball. South Side."

Even though it's a foolish comment, if he's a true blue Sox fan, then it's understandable a little bit. I won't hold it against him politically since I don't think I can handle another 4 years of a George W. clone.

Obama, stick to talking about something you know something about! I guess it would be pretty quiet around here. Every CUBS fan should be insulted by his remarks. Hope this goof doesn't make more stupid statements like those against the CUBS fans when babbling about world issues. We'd all be in big trouble.

As a Cubs fan I have been to plenty of Sox games with friends & gotten drunk with them also. Last time I checked they sell beer at The Cell too. Oh and are we just talking about Cubs fans at Wrigley or the thousands of Cubs fans all over the country. akelly
