As vice president of a downtown public relations firm, Ignacio Carrillo spent his days dealing with some high-profile clients, but Cook County prosecutors allege he spent at least some of his nights raping women he met on dating websites.
Judge Israel Desierto ordered Carrillo, 37, of the 2000 block of West Irving Park, held on $500,000 bond Friday after two women identified him as the man who raped them after they met online, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office said.
Carrillo, vice president for the Latino division of Flowers Communication Group in the Loop, was charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault.
Last Saturday, a 33-year-old north suburban woman went on a date with Carrillo, and after going to several bars in the Lincoln Park area, they returned to his Porsche in a parking garage, state’s attorney’s office spokesman Andy Conklin said, citing court records.
Carrillo then pinned the woman against the car, lifted her dress and underwear, and raped her, prosecutors allege. He then flipped her over and raped her a second time, while she cried and told him to stop, Conklin said.
He tried to drive the woman to a motel to have sex again, but she demanded he take her home, court records show. He dropped her off a block from her home, and she called her sister, who took her to a hospital, according to prosecutors.
After he was taken into custody for the incident last Saturday, Carrillo was then linked to a rape that occurred on Oct. 15, 2009, prosecutors said. In that incident, Carrillo allegedly went on a date to bar with a 38-year-old west suburban woman, where, after one drink, she reported feeling dizzy.
He then took her to a hotel, where she texted a message to her sister that said: “Help. Not well,” authorities said. When Carrillo noticed the text, he threw the phone across the room and raped the woman, though she told him, “No. Stop,” prosecutors allege.
The woman’s sister arrived at the hotel, where she allegedly saw Carrillo naked on the bed, prosecutors allege. She took her sister to a hospital.
Both victims identified Carrillo from his online profile, Conklin said, citing court records. The name of the site was not disclosed by prosecutors.
