Body pulled from Lincoln Park lagoon: authorities

The body of male in his late teens or early 20s was pulled from a lagoon in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, Chicago Police said.

Just after 2 p.m., authorities pulled the lifeless male, thought to be between the ages of 17 and 25, from the lagoon about 2:10 p.m. near the 2400 block of North Lake Shore Drive, police said.

The unidentified male was taken to nearby Presence Saint Joseph Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

Police are conducting a death investigation.
