A pair of pimps kidnapped a 13-year-old runaway girl from a West Side street and forced her into prostitution, the feds say.
Arnell “Chase” Misher, 30, allegedly snatched the girl near Maypole and Lockwood avenues in South Austin in the summer of 2012, threw her into a car, drugged her and then teamed up with Braundii “Boochie” Young, 22, to force her to have sex with men for money.
Misher and Young called the girl “Carmen,” posted ads for her online, and told her not to worry about her age because they’d make up a phony birthday for her, according to a criminal complaint filed late Friday. They kept all the money men paid her, the complaint says.
After the girl got away from them, Misher again saw her in the street and forced her into his car by threatening to “beat (your) ass,” the complaint states.
He told her he had a gun and locked her in his basement, then forced her to call her mom and tell her she didn’t want to come home, the feds allege.
Misher and Young are also accused of forcing a 17-year-old runaway they nicknamed “babyface” into prostitution. They told that girl only to have sex with Mexican and white men, the complaint states.
Both Misher and Young remain in custody after making brief court appearances Monday.
