Person struck, killed by Red Line train in Englewood

A person was struck and killed by a Red Line train Wednesday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, according to fire officials.
The person was struck about noon by a northbound Red Line train at the 63rd Street station, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinki.
The person was killed, according to Fire Media Affairs and unconfirmed scanner reports.
Red Line trains are standing at the station, and shuttles are operating between the 95th/Dan Ryan and 47th Street stations, Hosinki said.
