Two men shot in West Englewood

Two men were found shot just after midnight in the South Side's West Englewood neighborhood.

The two men were found just after midnight on the 6300 block of South Wolcott Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

One man was shot in the chest and taken to Holy Cross Hospital in an unknown condition, Greer said. The other victim was shot in the buttocks and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, in an unknown condition.

According to unconfirmed dispatch reports, the man taken to Holy Cross Hospital had suffered four gunshot wounds to the chest and was in critical condition.

There was no description of the shooter or shooters and the motive was as  unknown early Saturday.
