Male stabbed during Southwest Side robbery
A male was stabbed in his abdomen and legs during a robbery in the Southwest Side neighborhood of Brighton Park early Tuesday.
At 2:25 a.m. an unidentified male of unknown age was in the 3600 block of South Kedzie Avenue when he suffered minor lacerations to his abdomen and legs from a knife, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.
Police said the stabbing occurred during a robbery and the suspect stole the victim's wallet and cash.
A brown car with chrome wheels that fled northbound after the incident was being sought, police said.
No one was in custody as of 4:30 a.m., Gaines said.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
