Two men were each being held on $500,000 bail Monday after being charged with threatening, harassing and demanding money from a 73-year-old priest in the Back of the Yards neighborhood last week, Chicago Police said.

Deandrea Little, 22, of the 3900 block of West Lexington, and Markquis Little, 20, of the 5400 block of South Ashland, were charged with felony intimidation, felony stalking and felony attempted robbery, police said. Police could not confirm any familial relationship between the two men.

Prosecutors said Deandra Little went to a community center Nov. 6 and stood over the priest, poking him in the forehead and demanding money. The priest was left “shaken and afraid,” prosecutors said.

In a separate incident, Markquis Little is accused of demanding money from the priest after Mass, prosecutors said.

The two men allegedly had a history of asking the priest for money, and police estimate that the priest had given them a total of about $10,000 on previous occasions.
