2 dead, 2 wounded in shootings since Friday night

Two men were killed and at least two other people wounded in shootings across the city since Friday night.
Fernando Sanchez, 25, of the 3100 block of West Le Moyne Street, was fatally shot near Le Moyne Street and Ridgeway Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood about 1:50 a.m. Saturday, authorities said. He was standing on the sidewalk when a male approached from an alley and opened fire on him.
He was shot in the left side of his abdomen and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he died at 3:36 a.m.
The shooting appeared to be gang-related, police said.
About 10:30 p.m. Friday, 25-year-old Jeremy Morris was shot to death in the South Shore neighborhood.
He was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the body about 10:30 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Paxton.
Two unidentified males approached the vehicle and shot him before fleeing in an unknown direction in a dark-colored vehicle, police said.
Morris, of the 5000 block of South Champlain Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:50 p.m.
The most recent non-fatal shooting occurred about 11:34 p.m. Friday on the Near North Side, when a 23-year-old man standing in the 1300 block of North Hudson was shot in the foot. Police said the shooting may be gang-related.
A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized in serious condition after he was shot in the Rogers Park neighborhood Friday night. The shooting occurred at 8:36 p.m. in the 7600 block of North Paulina Street. He was shot multiple times in the leg and taken in serious condition to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.
Nobody was in custody for any of the shootings as of Saturday morning, as detectives investigated.
