Seven people were injured — three critically — in a three-vehicle crash involving a Chicago Police vehicle Thursday morning in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
The crash happened about 11 a.m. in the 7600 block of South Halsted Street, according to Fire Media Affairs.
Three people were taken in serious-to-critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn; and four were taken in good-to-fair condition to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, Fire Media said.
Police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada confirmed a police vehicle was involved in the crash, but did not immediately know if any officers were injured.
The CTA No. 8 and No. 8A buses have been temporarily rerouted in both directions at South Halsted and West 76th, according to a rider alert.
