Possibly it was someone wanting to give back to Mother Earth in a big way, but more likely they were just dealing drugs. About $100,000 worth of marijuana was found in a recycling container Saturday in Evanston.

Nine packaged blocks of cannabis, weighing a total of about 100 pounds and with a street value of more than $100,000, was found in the container after police received a report of suspicious items in the 1000 block of Brown Avenue, Evanston Police said.

Police are investigating the sender and the destination of the marijuana.
