A 30-year-old man was shot in the head at 3:51 a.m. Sunday after arguing with a driver attempting to pass his double-parked vehicle in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.
His vehicle was double-parked in the street in the 7100 block of South Maplewood, blocking other vehicles, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
The victim got into an argument with the driver who was trying to pass by, Mirabelli said. The driver returned with a weapon and shot the victim in the head, Mirabelli said. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.
No one was in custody. Area South detectives were investigating.
