Six people were injured when a driver plowed into three other vehicles late Friday on Lake Shore Drive in the North Side Lake View neighborhood.
The woman was driving the wrong-way — headed southbound in the northbound lanes when she crashed into the other vehicle about 11:30 p.m., Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said.
Paramedics did not expect any of the injuries to be life-threatening, officials said.
The driver and one other person were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, Langford said. One other person was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, also in serious-to-critical condition.
Paramedics examined three other people hurt in the wreck, but they refused further medical treatment, he said.
