A 21-year-old man was fatally shot Friday night at a Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits in the Austin neighborhood, officials said.
The shooting happened about 9:15 p.m. at the fast food eatery in the 5500 block of West North Avenue, police said.
The male was inside Popeyes when he was shot by someone from outside through a glass front of the restaurant, police said.
Four bullet holes could be seen in a glass pane on the east side of the restaurant. Crime scene tape still surrounded the restaurant and the parking lot early Saturday as police inside continued to investigate.
