Red Line trains resume normal schedule after minor delays

Northbound CTA Red Line subway trains have resumed a normal schedule after experiencing delays due to a passenger becoming injured, according to the CTA.
A female passenger, running to catch a train, tripped and injured herself about 8:50 a.m. at the Red Line’s Lake Street subway station platform, CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski said.
Purple Line trains have also resumed its express service after two northbound Purple Line trains made local stops between the Merchandise Mart and Howard stations to help with the delay, Hosinski said.
A Fire Media spokesman had no information on the accident.
