An Aurora teen accused of causing a deadly crash when he lost control of
a car while driving 90 miles an hour and slammed into a house pleaded not
guilty Monday to felony reckless homicide.
Logan Krogman, 16, didn’t have a drivers license when he allegedly took
three friends for a late-night joyride in his father’s car on Oct. 23.
The car spun off the rain-slicked pavement at a curve in a 25-mile-an-hour
speed zone as Krogman allegedly tried “to get the vehicle to 100 miles an
hour,” according to his DuPage County indictment.
A 15-year-old passenger, Devin Meadows, died when he was hurled from
the 2012 Chevy Malibu by the impact, which also heavily damaged the
home on Hamman Way.
Krogman, who also pleaded not guilty to aggravated reckless driving, is free
on bond while he awaits trial.
