Police are searching for three suspects who drove off with an ATM from a parking garage early Monday in the Loop.
Shortly after 4 a.m., a witness saw three suspects backing a U-Haul truck into a parking garage lobby in the 100 block of North Franklin Street, police said.
The suspects loaded the ATM from the lobby into the truck -- which police later learned was stolen -- and fled the scene, police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said.
Police found the vehicle about 2 p.m. roughly 19 miles away in the 12400 block of South Normal Avenue, police said. The ATM was inside, but all the money inside had been removed.
No one is in custody and Area Central detectives are investigating.
