An 84-year-old woman was fatally stabbed Friday morning in her Northwest Side Dunning neighborhood home.
Police were notified just after 9 a.m. of the fatal stabbing in the 3800 block of North Normandy, said Officer Laura Kubiak, a police spokeswoman.
The Cook County medical examiner identified the victim as Elaine Merone, 84.
Police were questioning a relative in relation to the stabbing, which appears to be a domestic incident, Kubiak said.
Neighbors said police had been out to the home repeatedly in the past year.
