A cab driver who walked into Police Headquarters and told officers he shot two other cabbies at a Near South Side cab depot was charged for one of the shootings, officials said.

Frederick Bailey, 63, of the 8700 block of South State, was charged Saturday with aggravated discharge of a firearm, police said.

Bailey, a Chicago Carriage Cab driver, got into an argument with two other cabbies inside a cab depot Friday in the 2600 block of South Wabash Avenue and shot both men and fled in a cab, police said.

Less than an hour later, Bailey walked into Police Headquarters at 3510 S. Michigan and told an employee at the front desk that he wanted to turn himself in for the shooting, police said.

A man, 51, was shot in the back and another man, 49, was shot in the arm, police said. Bailey was charged in only one of the shootings because one of the men would not cooperate with detectives, police said. Bailey was ordered held on a $450,000 bond on Sunday.
