Man killed, teen girl wounded on South Side

A man was fatally shot and a 16-year-old girl was wounded Thursday night in the South Side’s Woodlawn neighborhood, officials said.
The 19-year-old man and teen were shot around 10:10 p.m. in an alley in the 5900 block of South King Drive, police said. The man, who was shot in his head, was dead at the scene, while the girl was grazed and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Calumet Area detectives were investigating the shooting.
