Pareshkumar Desai, 50, of Des Plaines, was charged Feb. 20 with seven felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual abuse and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office.

A 9-year-old girl told a relative that Desai inappropriately touched her and two 8-year-old girls at a Mount Prospect gathering and her family members called police Feb. 10, the sheriff’s office said.

Desai was being held in Cook County Jail on $900,000 bond, the sheriff’s office said. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 20 in Skokie. Sheriff’s police said there may be other victims, and they ask that anyone with information call (708) 865-4896.
