All Metra trains on the Rock Island District line were stopped as of 5:15 p.m. Monday after an inbound train struck a vehicle in Midlothian, a Metra spokeswoman said.

The inbound No. 422 train, due downtown at 5:25 p.m., struck a vehicle, spokeswoman Meg Reile said.

Trains could be delayed from 60 to 75 minutes, according to Metra’s website. The Rock Island line runs from downtown Chicago to Joliet.

The Midlothian Fire Department was on the scene.
