A fire juggler’s performance got away from him in Northwest Indiana Saturday night. Spectacularly.
Aaron Rossetti, 36, was practicing his routine at Thomas Centennial Park in Chesterton when one flaming torch broke mid-juggle. The torch landed on a table, where his open can of camping fuel was resting, police said.
The fuel caught fire and ignited some of his props. Rossetti threw those props to the ground, but spilled the fuel onto his plastic juggling equipment. The burning equipment quickly melted onto the park’s paving bricks.
Rossetti called 911, and the Chesterton Fire Department extinguished his mess.
