A toddler who was found Saturday in the South Side Grand Crossing neighborhood has been identified ad reunited with his mother, police said.

The boy, who was believed to be 2 years old, was found in the 8100 block of South Ingleside, according to an alert issued by police.

The boy had been unable to tell authorities his name and home address.

Police described the boy as black with a dark complexion, 2-foot tall and 25 pounds. His black hair is styled into an afro and he has brown eyes, the alert said.

The boy was found wearing a red and white striped shirt, blue shorts and white gym shoes, the alert said.
